The rooms include:
Accommodation at Eight Bells consists of four categories and totals 25 tastefully decorated ensuite bedrooms, family units, air-conditioned log cabins and thatched rondavels set in enchanting gardens shared by an abundance of birdlife.

Rose Court is a wing of north-facing bedrooms with a large varandah and two rondawels looking out on to a quaint garde.

Pool Terrace looks out to the pool and distant mountain and conssit of mostly family unit with three rondawels.

Palm Court is a courtyard-styled wing of rooms with mountain views and a pretty garden. These rooms are more

spacious and ideal for longer stays. Our fourth category is Swiss Village consisting our five Alpine Log cabins with the best mountain views possible. Each cabin has its own sundeck, under-carpet heating and a air-conditioning unit. Ideal for honeymooners.

Breakfast consisting of a buffet and a cooked English breakfast, is served in The Oak Room Restaurant. Complimentary mid-morning and afternoon tea are served to guests at 11:00 and 16:00 respectively on the inside Patio. Beverages, teatime treats, light snacks and a mini a’ la Carte menu are available to guests throughout the day and is served in the gardens, at the pool or on our enclosed Patio. Room. Dinner in the Oak Room Restaurant offers guests a choice of either an a’la Carte or table d’hote menu. Our comprehensive winelist has a superb selection of South Africa’s finest wines. The Bosun’s Whistle Pub opens in the evenings for resident guests.

The main building houses the reception office, an elegant lounge, Bosun’s Whistle Pub, The Oak Room Restaurant, billiard room, children’s lounge, enclosed sunroom and exterior patio area.

Eight Bells is situated on a 400-acre estate. Outdoor facilities consists of a bell shaped swimming pool – with small kiddies pool – sun loungers and a thatched boma, two all weather tennis courts, a glass-back squash court, bowling green, the Rooster walking trails – marked and colour coded – and horse trails. Twice daily outrides conducted by a guide as well as paddock rides for beginners – weather permitting. Children are also well catered for with their own play park, dining room and play area Donkey cart rides for the children take place once a day after breakfast.

Protea and fynbos is a feature during the months of autumn, winter and early spring, and the abundant birdlife is a treat for birdwatchers.
